The Charrúa family is inspired by the native indians of the Uruguayan region, more particularly in the work of the artist José Luis Zorrilla, "El Charrúa", created in 1931. Its backrest in wooden slats represents the plumage used in their heads, while its rigid steel structure is a tribute to the courage of these natives.
